Pumpkin Pie Protein Shake

This one is really tasty!!

1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 cup fat free cottage cheese
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
5-7 ice cubes
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice or nutmeg
3-4 packets of Splenda or stevia, to taste

Throw is all in a blender and then enjoy!

I also use 1/2 teaspoon of xanthan gum, which makes the shake really thick, like a milkshake. It's available in the gluten free aisle of the supermarket or on Amazon.

Calories: 250
Protein: 38g
Carbs: 17
Fat: 4g
Fiber: 4g

    I made this tonight - delicious!

    Made much more than I could eat and so filling (made it for dessert), so next time I'll make a half serve.

    For anyone working in grams, I worked with:

    120g mashed pumpkin
    120g fat free cottage cheese
    30g vanilla protein powder
    5-7 ice cubes
    250ml water
    2g cinnamon
    1g pumpkin pie spice or nutmeg
    10g Splenda or stevia, to taste

    With the brands available to me (in Australia :smile:), mine worked out to be 1089kj (260cal), 38g protein

    Sounds yummy! I will have to use a Lactaid cottage cheese FF . What is the Xanithan Gum made from? TY!

    Ok Update I made this and substituted Old fashion oats (1/4 cup) in place of the protein powder. And combined with all the other ingredients listed from OP's recipe. Blended. And left out the Xanithan Gum (didn't have any on hand). It was fabulous!!

    What brand of vanilla protein powder do you use? I have Plant Head and can’t stand the flavor! It makes me gag each time I drink it, but that stuff is too expensive to let it go to waste.
