Hi I have just started eating Vegan. And wanted to know is it ok for my fats and sugars to be high even though the are from nuts seeds and fruits etc.
Many thanks in advance.

Yes. Unless you have a medical reason for limiting either, you are fine.

It's ok.... I would aim to get at least the minimum recommended protein though (preferably closer to 0.8g per lb)

As long as it isn't crowding out other things you need (like protein), you should be fine (unless you have a medical condition that requires you to limit sugar or fat).

I conquer. And don't worry about that whole 0.8g per lb. Unless you are actively trying to bulk on some muscle, a little less is fine. I try to keep mine around 80-90 grams per day, because eating no meat it's crazy how much you need to eat to get 0.8 per lb if you are trying to lose weight. Especially if you are overweight. That can literally be impossible when you take out lean meat, unless you plan to live off of tofu and veggies. I'm around 170lbs and if I had to eat 136 grams of vegetarian protein, I'd have to go over my calorie count for the day every day unless I lived off of tofu, just because most vegetarian protein comes with some fat or carbs. If you are bulking, I'm sure it's more than possible though.
