Over fat but under calories

The past few days I've been over my fat by around 5g. Although I have been under my calories by between 100-150.
Will it make much of a difference to my weight loss if I'm slightly over my fat, even though I'm under my calorie goal?

Nope. Fat doesn't make you fat. Extra calories makes you fat.2

No. Fat and all macros are irrelevant from a weight loss standpoint. Calories are what matter.0

5 grams is less fat than, like 8 almonds -- don't sweat it.
Good fats are good for hormone regulation and so for your metabolism. The biggest problem is that fat has, per gram, higher caloric value than carbs or protein, but if you're hitting your calorie goals, I'd call it a win.
I can't see your food diary, otherwise I might be able to offer more specific advice, but it sounds like you're doing fine!3 -

Focus first on proper calories only once that is down should you worry about macros1

Nope.
Many people treat protein & fat goals as minimums not maximums.2 -
Good, balanced nutrition is important for health. The MFP default macro percents aren't crazy for most people. It's important to get enough protein, enough fat, and at least 5 (maybe more) servings of veg/fruit daily for micronutrients and fiber . . . for good health. 5 grams one way or the other of any macronutrient (such as fat) is unlikely, in itself, to unbalance your nutrition.
Other aspects of food choice are individual ones, to maximize your personal satiation, happiness, and convenience.
Only calories matter for weight loss.0 -
No...fat doesn't make you fat...excess calories beyond what you require to maintain the status quo makes you fat.
Look at keto people...they eat like 70% fat...1 -
I changed my fat goal to be higher, so solved that problem, but no, makes no difference. It's important to get adequate protein and micronutrients (for health, and protein helps with preserving muscle), but 5 g more than the MFP default on fat will make no difference to that.0

Okay.
I'm going to disagree.
Just because this thread has too many people saying the same thing and no one disagreeing.
I don't actually disagree with others, but I think I will just for *kitten* and giggles.
There ya go.6 -

Just to put this into some perspective, I have a medical reason to watch the amount of fat I intake daily (no gallbladder) and I wouldn't bat an eyelash at being 5g over. That's within the margin of error that comes with calorie counting as far as I'm concerned. For weight loss, it's not even a problem. Don't stress out over hitting any of these numbers exactly. You're always going to be a little over some days and a little under on others. It evens out over time.4
