I've heard that drinking hibiscus tea and pomegranate juice will lower blood pressure. Does this work? Have you tried it? What did you do and what were your results? Thanks!

Pomegranate juice is tasty...I dilute it with water to make it last longer, since it's also kind of pricey. Can't speak for its effect on blood pressure tho. oh...it's nice in a smoothie with blueberries, too!

That's kinda my thought too. Not encouraging this, just curious.

If you can't reduce & control HBP with exercise, you probably do need pharmaceutical intervention. My husband and are natural remedies first people, and pomegranate juice, hibiscus tea and Hawthorne tea are all things he tried before prescription meds with no appreciable reduction. (and some days his BP was higher)
He feels much better on the meds.

I drink beet juice because I like it, but it is sometimes marketed as good for the heart. My blood pressure has gone down, but only a tiny bit.

From what I understand, hibiscus tea is a folk remedy and it it thought to be a diuretic, so if true, I guess it could help with high blood pressure. Maybe?
