Body doesn't want to move

I've struggled in my workouts the past several days. It's like my body doesn't want to move, in a different way than just being tired. When I try to run, my legs feel heavy, achy, etc. Almost sore, but not really the same feeling.
Anyone experience this before?

I did after two months of working hard, and then the heat came.
I took two days off, really watched what I ate and drank tons of water. Now I'm back to normal, but with the heat I am definately taking a real rest day each week. Before my "rest days" were a shorter walk, nice bike ride, etc. Now its just stretching (I'm in my 60s and I have to stretch) and tai chi...and then rest.0 -
Yes I know my body goes through phases where literally I will want to run, but it seems like I can't pick my feet up and then I usually end up hurting myself... If you can, just try switching up to a different cardio activity for this week??0

To my understanding that's called exhaustion. Rest for a couple days, sleep more and eat better.0

Thanks, everyone. I started incorporating more protein yesterday and maybe that will help. I just started a 2 week bootcamp at my gym, so rest day is a few days away. Bad timing.
