Ok so I'm calling it 'Day 1' but I've already sabotaged it by having a Large Pumpkin Spice Latte. WITH CREAM. My inside voice bellowed out "SAY NO TO CREAM" but those words unfortunately didn't make it out of my mouth.

I have struggled with poor eating habits and weight gain since a teenager. I'm an emotional eater which, to some, may seem like a complete cop out but it really isn't. I was at my heaviest (16st 8lbs) following the birth of my daughter, now 6. I took the mantra "eating for two" way too seriously. At the time of falling pregnant, I was on the infamous shake diet that is also a city in the East of England....so the minute the little blue line appeared on the pee stick, I went out and bought a Beef and Onion pasty and things spiralled from there!

I've since had a little boy, now 2, and hit 14 1/2 stone with him, but have managed to lose some of that and now I'm on a mission to lose another 53lbs. I've got a weight and dress size in mind...but zero willpower! The motivation is there....to be happy and healthy for myself and my family....but I am very weak minded.

I'm sure I'm not the only one with this kind of sob story so for anyone feeling this.....Good Luck! I hope it works out for us

try pre logging your day, that usually makes it easier for me to stick to my calories.

and reduce your rate of loss so its a reasonable amount that you can stick to.

Sweetheart, I'm the same thing! No kids, and not many commitments so no excuses for the last five years that I have managed to balloon to 18 stone (17stone 12lbs as of Monday). The late night trips to Tesco for bottles of Prosecco, cakes, crisps and almond croissants. I literally eat until I'm in pain. I then feel like crap, stick to a diet for three days, then eat like a pig again. This has been going on for years. Diet and gym for a week or two, binge for a month come what may, happiness, sadness, depression, whatever the cause, I have a full plate.

How does one have a 600 day log in streak on MFP, lose 2 stone and pile it all back on again? Well that's me! Losing my Dad in July, turning 30 next month and just generally feeling bloated and disgusting all the time, I have had to take a long hard look at myself and clean up my act BIG time.

    We got this!

I can relate to every word you 2 have said.
I've been down the same roads.

What I try to do is eat healthy, but don't restrict everything so quickly! This is why you'll diet for a few days then binge. So try to transition into a healthier lifestyle. Remember that diets are temporary, but a healthier lifestyle is forever. At the beginning, make healthy choices, but have a small treat to stay sane. Hope this helped.
