Sparkling vs still?

Hi guys, I drink an awful lot of sparkling water, anyone know if the sodium levels will hamper my weight loss? On a bit of a plateau and wondering what to do to help as well as tightening logging?

I'm not sure what kind you are drinking, but every sparkling water I have ever seen has the exact same amount of sodium as regular water. Which is a very small amount and has no impact on anything whatsoever.6

Sodium will not affect your fat loss other than masking it, but I'm sure there isn't enough sodium in sparkling water to be an issue. How long has it been since you lost weight?1

I think you should be concerned with fat loss mainly, not weight loss in general. Sodium can make you retain more water but this is not generally a bad thing. While it can affect your weight, it has nothing to do with your fat.

A week isn't even close to a plateau. It's a normal stall. Be patient.3

Thank you, I'm not overly worried as I do need to tighten logging but just wondered if still was possibly better than sparkling. Am glad to hear it isn't! I drink a lot of both but do love the sparkling stuff to spice it up haha0

Yeah that's pretty much nothing. You're not stalling either, weight is normally lost with on and off periods of weight retention despite constant fat loss.1 -

As an aside, if you drink a lot of sparkling water, a Sodastream machine may be worth the investment for you. Cheaper in the long run.2

Only if there are stores nearby that stock the supplies for it. It's a pain to have to drive 50 miles just to get a replacement CO2 cartridge. As for weight, I find that inches lost is a better indicator of increased health than weight lost.0 -

Pretty sure you can order the cannisters. Online
New ones, yes, but only select areas can have refilled canisters exchanged online (mostly in the northeast). It depends on if you're willing to spend $40 everytime you want to exchange the canisters with a new one, or prefer just to find somewhere to exchange the cartridge (which is just $15).0
