  • Bridge to 10k is a great one, just google it. Hal Higdon has a 1/2 plan that has been highly recommended to me

Bridge to 10K didn't work for me, tried it after C25K...I wound up just adding to my regular runs until I hit a 10k distance. For a 1/2, just started that last week. I'm using a program MarathonRookie.com website. Here is the link: http://www.marathonrookie.com/half-marathon-training.html

I'm on week 2 right now.

Also, Runner's World.com will do a "smart coach" plan for you if you plug in your race date.

hal higdon's is a very good 12 week program and it has from novice to experienced, here is the novice program site: http://www.halhigdon.com/halfmarathon/novice.htm

if your looking for a 5k, its been recommended the c25k (couch to 5k), you can google it

remember running is mind over body.

    Best of luck to you!

LOL I asked my friend about 5k programs and she told me I was too good for 5ks!! I've done several 5ks. I just wanted to follow a program to that I could work my way up to half or full without getting injured.

Guy I work and carpool with is about halfway through Hal's 1/2 marathon program. He has dropped 30 pounds so far!
Plans on doing the Ragnar in DC.
  • I just started the one in this month's Runners World. Like it so far!

Tom Holland has a great book called "The Marathon Method" it's a great resource for half & full marathon training. It provides tons of valuable running information. I highly recommend it! He also has a book "The Twelve Week Triathlete" that is great as well! Good luck and have fun!!!
