Barbell Bench Press or DB press?

I saw a discussion on bodybuilding.com that says use DB for aesthetics and BB for strength. Personally, I prefer DB because my shoulders don`t feel terrible after and I feel like DB hits my chest more, sometimes I dont even feel anything with BB press. Thoughts?

Most people in my gym who do a lot of BB bench are primarily power lifters and/or lifting for strength. Most of the physique people do more DB work and some occasional BB work.
I have shoulder issues so I rarely use a BB for bench.0 -
i Powerlift and i do both BB and DB.0

I do both, but I do BB more often. Primarily lifting for strength.0

I do DB so I can be sure my left and right sides are doing even work.0

I can lift more weight doing a barbell BP than I can using a pair of DBs. My current 1RM for the barbell BP is 210. Even if I could bench a 105# DB separately in each hand, the max weight of my adjustable DB set at home (which is the only place I lift) is only 100# (50# @). So, I just use a barbell for BP.0

I do BB for strength. I do (incline) db for physique/aesthetics (along with a couple of other exercises.)0

2x50s could be just fine for DB. Does it feel too light? Weight doesn't translate from BB to DB pound for pound. I think most people can lift more with BB because DB challenges muscles in different ways. DB press on stability ball is great!0

Don't neglect the DB Press, While I hate the term and much of the "movement".... DB Press translates much more closely to "functional training".
Asymmetrical work, which the DB Press is translates to more gains in the symmetrical than the reverse, so doing Asymmetrical work periodically is certainly beneficial0
