Oh absolutely it can happen! So you have about 6 months left of maternity leave yes? You can totally kill this!!
You got this!! Im new to the app mtself, but the first day i used it i did so just to get a feel (diary log) of how i generally eat on a daily basis. And boy was i appalled!! So seeing that first and configuring out what i want me diet to look like, and the areas based off my first example day, that i definitely want to see changed. This is helping me to learn a few things, and if your really new to this and have no one helping you, perhaps you can also try this! (You can also join my group and friend me too!)
Take 1 week to really get your expectations down on paper. (Get yourself a journal) figure out if you want more fat less carbs medium protien, more carbs, less fat, more protien ect. And it all depends on your daily activities too. So figure all this out which will take you a while if your not hiring or talking with a nutritionist!
Once you have done your research on which type of diet you want to work with then you can configure your portions your calorie intake your percentages and keep track of those using this tool. but until you really know what you want to do, the tool (this app) is based off of average (and little info you put in) and you want to make sure it fits your needs. so do your homework and figure out what you want to do and what foods you do want to eat and to add in your diet and how that will affect other areas or foods that you need to push away because you want to consume certain ones to keep in your diet. (Does any of this make sense lol)
So definitely start here by stepping back, figure out your goals and I just don't mean for weight loss or else you would not be using this app everybody's goal is to lose weight I mean figure out your goals on how you want to change your eating habits and what you want them to look like in the future.
Once you nail this down and stick to it for a couple weeks you're going to find that it's easier for you since you already had it planned out other than trying to struggle everyday what you can and cannot eat!
You got this girl!!! Congrats on baby girl, what a blessing!!!!!
