Yep. I've never been hindered by my diet soda habit. And I drink a lot of it.7

Love diet softdrink - easy sweet treat to have that has no calories/carbs/sugar etc.4
-
Yep. It has very few calories so it won't hinder anything.4
-
Yes I lost 50 lbs4

I drink diet mountain dew every single day. Mostly in the mornings as I am not a coffee person. Most all diet soda is calorie free. As such, it has no effect on weight loss or gain.4

absolutely fine. I have been super thirsty today and craving sweet, Iv been through a good 5 cans of diet lemonade soda. So yummy. I like lemon water most times i get cravey, but some days you just need something fizzy lol2

I drink it every day, hasn't hindered my weight loss in the least. Which makes perfect sense, since a zero calorie drink doesn't add any calories to your diet.4

So, @DanielleGrubaugh2014 , what's your favorite brand/flavor? Have you tried the Coke Zero?0

Thank you for all the responses! I'm so happy to hear this. I know it's calorie free, but it does have quite a bit of sodium in it. I was just worried that I wouldn't see results on the scale as much because of the sodium/water retention.0

What soda are you drinking that has a lot of sodium in it? This is something I see parroted a lot by people extolling the dangers and evils of diet soda, but most I've seen are 40 mg or less - which is about equivalent to a glass of tap water, and not very much sodium at all.8 -

I love diet A&W Root beer, diet Sunkist is also great. I have tried Coke Zero and it's ok.0 -
I ❤️️ diet soda lol.. I am and will always be addicted to it.3

The salt is to keep you drinking, and sodium is an important electrolyte for nerve and muscle function. There's no need to avoid salt unless a medical doctor has directly ordered you to do so.5

I still drink diet soda and don't feel its hindered my weight loss in the least. I decided to give up alcohol except for a very small glass of wine (2 oz) from time to time so if I had to give up my diet soda as well, I'd feel too deprived and likely could not stick with the program!1

I just looked at the diet soda in my fridge. It has 25mg per serving. Diet soda does not have quite a bit of sodium. That's a myth.4 -

Wow! Well my A&W Root Beer has 110mg per can. What diet soda do you drink that only has 25mg?0 -
I have not had any issues losing weight while drinking diet sodas. I can't completely give up all my vices!1
-
I too drink a diet soda or many even two each day- so far I am still losing as well.1

I just checked my Diet Dr. Pepper and there is 55mg, which is 2% of the RDA. So your 110 is like 4 or 5% (taking rounding into consideration). So just don't drink 10 a day3 -

I drink different diet sodas depending on what's on sale. Diet Shasta Cola is what's in the fridge currently.
Big K Diet Cola (Kroger's generic) also only has 25mg per serving.1 -

I have equally refined and discriminating tastes. I mostly drink Walmart/Sam's Club generic diet cola and diet "Dr. Thunder" - 35mg sodium per 12 oz. can.4 -

I have one once in a while. Maybe 48 oz a week. Drs state that it increases your appetite and suppresses your metabolism. I personally have not experienced those effects at all.10

I've never, ever seen a study claiming that diet soda "suppresses your metabolism" - or anything of the sort. I've seen weak correlations made about appetite, but correlation is not the same thing as causation.6 -

Maybe it was Dr. Oz who said it. I could easily believe that. I could picture that kind of trash coming from Mercola too.4 -

It has never made me hungry and with as much as I drink, I'm curious how I could have lost 130 lbs if it was supposed to surpress my metabolism.6
