Just to add a few more artists to the list: Anything by Deftones, Mindless Self Indulgence, NIN.

Someone mentioned 'Beautiful People' by Manson. Just about anything by Manson works for me. He's one of my regulars on my running playlist.

Killswitch Engage (are they considered "metal"? They kind of are in my head  )

Killswitch is probably more Metalcore, so I'd say they qualify under the larger umbrella of Metal. They are not traditional Metal but one of the spin off subgenres.

True, good call. Either way....they force me to scream while driving, play air guitar at red lights, and help me just let off a lot of steam!!!!

It would be wrong to have this thread and not mention Led Zeppelin.

    Judas Priest, Diamonds & Rust

    Queensryche , Jet City Woman

Powerman 5000, When Worlds Collide and Supernova Goes Pop.

    Audioslave, Cochise

It's hard to pick just one...so here's a list of favorites:

    Pantera - F#cking Hostile
    Lamb of God - Redneck
Slipknot - Duality and Pulse of the Maggots
    Disturbed - Stricken
Hatebreed - Another Day, Another Vendetta
    Slayer - Raining Blood
    Mudvayne - Dig
    Sepultura - Refuse/Resist
    Tool - Part of Me

There's a lot of other's I could add, but this is the playlist that gets the heavy lifting day workouts going.

    I can't pick one. That's unfair.

Iron Maiden: The Trooper, Killers, Phantom of the Opera
Metallica: One, Seek and Destroy, For Whom The Bell Tolls
Slayer: Seasons in the Abyss, Angel of Death
Slipknot: Spit It Out, The Blister Exists, Pulse of the Maggots
    Facecage: Crown of Scorn

I could go on and on.

Thanks for reminding me of a few other bands. I am the one that mentioned 'Beautiful People' by Manson. Agreed. I also love Mindless Self Indulgence. They are awesome! NIN is great also, gotta love Trent Reznor!

You guys should check out Firewind and Chimaira.

Firewind is more traditional greek metal/Power Metal
Chimaira is Nu Metal (a mix of grunge, traditional medal and Metalcore)
