What to do when you have a hard time getting to the gym?!

I work during the day and feel guilty going to the gym at night, as I have a son and don't want him to be away from me longer, or spend more time in a daycare. Any ideas how to incorporate workouts at home that is time sufficient and effective?

This, if you have time for that.
Also, checkout out a few fitness generators, such as....

https://www.fitnessblender.com/
Depending on how old your son is, maybe he can do some of it with you.1 -
Thank You!!! That's exactly what I was looking for!!

Look into body-weight exercises as well. They are much more challenging than they look and you can teach your son to do them with you (depending on his age, of course).1

This... try not feel guilty about taking care of yourself, no one else is going to do it, and your son will appreciate his mom being around for a long long time. Plus it sets a good example as he gets older.2 -

Wise words, for sure.
You can do everything essential with dumbbells and a pull-up bar. And when the kid's a little older, he can exercise too.

This!
Cycle or walk to the park or beach with him, play active games with him, go hiking with him ... be active together!

Depends on how old your son is, but my kids love to watch me do a workout DVD at home. I get out my small weights for them to use and the balance ball for them to roll around on while I workout. They are 5, 6 and 7 years old.1
