Congrats. You could have dated before but now it will be slightly easier. (I have guy friends who are fit and still can't keep a girl..personality checks would help in their department.)

Of course, my first tip if you are just getting started is to ask for one to two weeks of very strict commitment. Start with one. Step on the scale at the beginning of the week, track calories all week and commit to staying under your goal. Set a realistic gym schedule that week and do whatever you can at the gym. Push yourself but don’t feel like you have to workout to extreme exhaustion. Step on the scale at the end of the week, see the results... this will lite the flame.
