Veggies recording question please

I am wondering if I should log every baby carrot or apple slice I eat? I am currently pregnant and with my workout routine changing, my body is adjusting to less calories and I am eating carrots or celery or even some cucumber just to snack on. I am not always around the computer and maybe missing some of these veggies. I do try to put the fruit in because of sugar.

Would it kill me to not put 100% of the veggies? Now, if I have a teaspoon of fat free ranch, yes, that will be marked.. hahahaha

    It's good to track fiber.

But I don't see much of a point in tracking while pregnant.

Maybe you could have them pre-portioned? Have them prepped and ready in the fridge, in an amount that you think will get you through the day. At the end of the day, when that container or bag is empty, you can just record that whole amount and not worry about counting as you go.

it really depends on how many you eat. if you're going to eat one baby carrot and can't be bothered to log it, it won't make much of a difference. i eat about 300+ calories of vegetables a day so i log them all. especially if i'm eating sweet potato/avocado/etc.

I would weigh them before putting them in a snap-lock bag for the day. At the end of the day, you can log what is missing from the bag if you feel like it. A bag of lollies or chips... definitely straight away. But apple or carrot pieces I wouldn't get too hung up on. Now if only I liked raw carrot or apple...

I read another post that the person made "pre-made" snacks, just made a bunch of snacks up in 100 cal packs so she knew how much she was getting, sounded like a fantastic idea to me. =) That might help, if you knew that you ate 2-100 cal packs of carrots, cucumbers, apples, etc? Good luck and congrats on the baby!

I was going to get a scale, but now I am not as obsessed with weight at the moment.

The only reason why I am still tracking, is because I want to keep up what I have been doing and this will prevent me from eating too much crap food. Like my serving of reduced fat wheat thins.. recorded asap.. lol There are times I want a skinny cow treat, but would only have one if I had room for it, if not I would just wait till the next day.

I see that the baby carrots are about 70 cals per cup, so I may make some snack bags of those. As for cucumber, I only cut when I want it so it lasts longer.. :D

And thank you.. we have been trying for a baby for 3 years and with previous losses, we are cautiously excited. :)
