When I'm talking to my boyfriend I call it the red army/ the communists (cramps, 'urrgh the red army is on attack'). To other people i just say my period or time of the month.

I work part time in a local ER, and the topic came up that the female nurses on our shift all seem to "start" around the same time. Here is the question, what do you call your monthly cycle?
I've heard, Monthly Visitor, Aunt Flow... and others.

I call it my period. I have never called it anything else.

I mostly call it "awesomesauce" because I feel awesome on my flow. Otherwise, just period.

You feel AWESOME???? Very interesting. Perhaps a little disturbing at the same time. lol.

Shark week or lady time, lady problems...if I'm in public because for whatever reason I think it's more polite??? At home it's just period or "my body is attacking me".

I sometimes go on my meriod and that is when I buy new ties or shoes. I may be manPMSing right now. Goes to report messages.

    This made me laugh.

I just say that I'm on my period.

    The nicknames irk me.

I should go write that in that thread.

I believe that you should. Go for it.

I've referred to that time as "Hell Week" for ages.

I usually just refer to it as my period. Occasionally, I might call it my "time of month." Back when I was trying to get pregnant, I would refer to it on TTC (trying to conceive) message boards as "AF" (short for Aunt Flo)...but I don't think I ever said that euphemism out loud.

I call it a period or say I'm bleeding out vaginally (I especially like to say this to men...share the misery)

Period. "I have my period." Anything else just seems dumb. Kinda like "I'm prego" or "I'm preggers". Ugh ...

    This. I have my period.

Whenever I was in a grouchy mood, my ex hubs would always ask me if I was "clotting".
    Such an asshat.

Had my wife spayed so I don't have to deal with it.

Crude way you put it, but my wife had a hysterectomy, so that came to an end long ago for us.
