Go for it BUT fit it into your allowance. Know how many calories you want to spend, and stick to that. Otherwise you can create alternatives, make banana "ice cream" with cocoa powder, or go for the really dark chocolate -bottom line is, get your fix now, otherwise it's just a binge waiting to happen!

I usually "go for it." But individual serving sizes help me portion control, so Ghiradelli dark chocolate squares are a good fit. Sugar free fudgesicles, sugar free pudding, reduced calorie hot chocolate (but not the 25 calorie version) are also possibilities.

Don't deprive yourself the chocolate. Practice moderation. Typically when I crave chocolate I eat some fat (nuts, avocado) and it satisfies that craving

I eat chocolate every day. I really love the Dove Promises, the dark chocolate is @ 40 cals each and 2 is often plenty. In general, I find a little bit of real chocolate is better than a lot of a "substitute", but everyone is different.

Having said that, chocolate pudding cups, fudgesicles, and Fiber One brownies are also pretty good.

Whip nonfat Greek yogurt with cocoa and a zero calorie sweetener... you get your chocolate fix and some protein to boot!

Try some less sugary alternatives, maybe? Sugary foods tend to leave you wanting more, and just a little doesn't satasfy.
    For example:
    Sugar-free Chocolate Icecream:
Blend 1 or 2 frozen bananas into a smooth icecream, then mix in cocoa powder and vanilla extract.

    Chocolate Syrup:
    Soak dates overnight.
Blend the next day (water and all) with cocoa powder and vanilla extract Add more dates if it's too runny.

    Low Sugar Hot Chocolate:
In a mug, add 1tbsp of cocoa powder, 2-3tsp sugar, pinch of salt, and vanilla extract. Add boiling water or hot milk.
Add peppermint extract for a mint hot chocolate. You can also add warm spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. I've even added 1tbsp of peanut butter, and it was pretty yummy.

Bananas and dates both have a lot of sugar. If sugar is a trigger for cravings or increased appetite for someone, these probably won't work well.

Bananas and dates are pretty calorie dense fruits. Most bananas I get work out to @ 100 grams and are @ 100 cals. Dates are 100 cals per 100 grams. A regular full size candy bar is around 200 cals - about the same as 2 bananas. And might even have less sugar than the bananas, because the candy bar is getting some calories from fat.

The hot chocolate is a great idea when it's cold out. Hot chocolate or a cup of chocolate flavored tea often hits the chocolate spot on a cold day!

4 squares of dark chocolate melted and dip fruit (use banana and strawberries). And I’m an absolute chocoholic but it really helps! Also options hot chocolates are around 40 cals and help with cravings :)

I love chocolate. I buy the dark chocolate, and eat it by the square as it's only 54 calories so I include it in my allowance

Sometimes a craving can be your body "talking to you". Make sure you are getting enough magnesium rich foods.

I know this might sound like “woo” to some people, but I tried this and it worked. When I read about micro deficiencies causing cravings, i figured I had nothing to lose, so I bought a big bag of spinach and started adding a couple chopped cups to a salad or omelet every day. Poof! Chocolate cravings are next to nothing now-a-days! I’m not going to question it because those cravings were driving me nuts and spinach is a cheap fix both in calories and expense.

I eat an apple with a square of Swiss Delice Dark Chocolate and 1 tbsp of Almond butter. Stops all my cravings for chocolate and I am satisfied.

I'll mix nonfat greek yogurt with unsweetened cocoa powder, stevia and a couple almonds or some cacao nibs and that usually takes care of my chocolate cravings! It works out to be 120ish calories or so for a cup, and it's really protein dense so it fills me up fast.

I eat chocolate quite often. I get the 86% dark chocolate Guiradelli bar. Then I freeze it and eat one square at a time, which is around 80 calories (a bit more).

I'm doing 1200 calories, but I do take a magnesium supplement. I don't crave chocolate that often anymore, but when I do...oh boy!
