Losing belly fat.

Im 26 and I'm 4 foot 11 and 116 pounds, I'm losing weight on my legs and arms but nothing on my belly and hips. Is they anything I can do to help shed the weight on my stomach, at the moment I'm lifting weighing, doing hiit and intermediate fasting. I don't eat much protein at all and I'm not working my abs, is this the reason why?
I'm not sure how much weight I should lose, do I just keep losing until my stomach is flat?

Unfortunately as disappointing as this is, you simply cannot target fat loss.
You simply have to continue to shed weight till your body switches to the fat reserves in your belly. Trust me I know cuz been there. Actually i'm kinda still there.
That being said, you not hitting your protein goal is something you should work on definitely if your aim is body recomposition. And working on your abs will only add volume (muscle volume) to your tummy area it will in no way affect the fat volume, which will increase the total look. That being said, you should still do a couple of abs exercises every now and then, your core strength is key for your safety doing any other activity including simply walking.

How much of it is fat vs loose skin? Your stomach looks just like mine, I'm also 26 and have had two children and that's why my tummy looks like this. Diet and exercise can only do so much for stretched out skin. I've accepted that nothing short of a tummy tuck will tummy solve my problem1

I've had two children, the last one was 10 months ago and also I've lost 6 and a half stone before having children! Some of my stomach is loose skin, but I think there's a fair bit of fat still there. I just hope I don't have to have a tummy tuck

It can take a couple of years after you finish losing weight for your skin to shrink as much as it is going to shrink. For now, keep eating in a deficit as you are and you'll find that it will literally be the final few pounds that you lose that will make a difference in your stomach. I'm afraid that I am not much of a help beyond that because I don't have a good idea about what is a good weight at your height ( .) I wish I could say something like "lose another 5 and you'll see it" but I cannot.1 -
I've been losing top and bottom to middle: I can see veins on my wrists and ankles. I can see collar bone. Arms, chest, and legs slimmed down some. Have 1 back fat roll and an enormous gut left.
God, it's so annoying. I totally get you. Apparently this is natural and to lose it we must stay in a deficit and be patient (ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh).
I would up your protein though and increase those weights. Maybe read the recomp thread?2 -
My stomach is the last thing to go as well. I've got 5 lbs left I'd like to lose. I think patience is the key here, and spot on food tracking. It can take a lot of time for our midsections to return to pre-baby, if it ever does at all. I agree with the above poster that it is your badge! Keep up the good work, but don't stress about it ☺0
