Be careful with the peanut butter. A lot of calories in very small amount.

I don't understand why people recommend peanut butter as a good source of protein. Depending on the type we're talking usually 4-6 grams of protein per 100 calories. Compare that to whey or lean cuts of meat that has 20ish grams per 100 calories.

Exactly. Peanut butter IS filling, but that wasn't the question.

Beef jerky is great but expensive and high salt.

Hard boiled eggs tend to be my favorite. But I will also make roll ups with some turkey, some lettuce and maybe a slice of good cheese. Now my mouth is watering

I use protein shakes, eggbeaters, water packed tuna, fat free cottage cheese to bump my protein up

Agreed on the peanut butter. It's a fat source, not a particularly good protein source.

Jerky is really easy to make yourself and doesn't need any special equipment, you can just make it in the oven. Means you can also make it as salty as you want.

I always have grilled chicken in the refrigerator. If I need more protein, I always have that to rely on. It's low in fat, calories and high in protein. I also like string cheese, protein bars and plain Greek yogurt
