Remember that people who say are not hungry after eating under 1000 calories will lie about other stuff too! lol

Hmmmmm! I happen to be one of those people. I rarely feel hungry and if I do, it doesn't take much to fill me up. I have an enlarged spleen that makes me feel full quick. I am a little offended by your comment.0

I don’t get how people can say that, especially overweight/obese people because at some point, you obviously had no problem eating more.0

I thought it was funny and I was hoping to lighten people's day with some fun. I'm sorry.0 -

It is not eatting more that is the problem, it is what you eat that is the problem. When you start eating veggies, lean protein, whole grains, it is harder to get all the calories you need. They are less calories for more quantity.
When I eat the junk, no I don't have a problem getting my calories in, it is more about the healthy eating that causes weight problem. And my spleen hasn't always been large, I gained my weight before it became so.0 -

It is okay, I am just not feeling the best today, it is just one of those days.
It is funny, if you don't take it personally. Sorry for being such a Debbie Downer.0 -

Actually the problem lies in the perception of what healthy eating actually is. Low-fat, no-fat products are not healthier simply because they are less calories. Fats, even saturated fats, are good for you. So if you actually eat healthy (not what the media tells you is healthy) then no it is not hard to get your calories.0 -

Hector is a great guy and good friend. Please forgive him because I have never known him to be even remotely offensive to anyone. Like all things, I am sure there are exceptions and you fit the bill. I myself can go for days on less than 1000cals, but I am full with eating lots of filling low cal fruits and veggies. Now today, I am gonna eat less calories because it is a rest day for me, but I intentionally plan to eat less when I do not work out.

Aw Peachy, I'm sad to hear that you have an enlarged spleen and that this inhibits your appetite and perhaps even enjoyment of food and of life :frown: You're right too, junk food does make it easy to overeat, I'm totally guilty of that today! just compare my filling breakfast (low cal) with my filling lunch (omg high cal!).
Hect is spot on though - I don't get how some healthy people on here say they can't eat 1200 kcals. It's frustrating to see diaries of friends eating very low amounts, particularly seeing those same people doing plenty of exercise. In this instance their healthy eating philosophy clearly isn't a great match for yours (or mine!) so just don't look at their diaries, don't comment on their very lean days.

He is a great guy. It is mostly me, today is just one of those days. Hector is always supportive of me and never seems to try to hurt anyones feelings.
Hector you are great!!!!0 -
It's not that I can't eat 1000 cals a day, it's that I choose foods, lots of them during the day, that have few calories so Im not getting 1000 cals. and I am full. I could have something unhealthy to make up those cals but y just so I can say I have all my cals. I think if you are choosing the right foods and are eating plenty & when your body tells you you are hungry then y stress at the 1000 cals. Wouldnt that be overeating if I just tried to make up those other cals with extra food when I am really full?0

The root of my weight problem is that I would eat when I wasn't hungry. Lately I've been eating less than 1,200 calories a day; sometimes even less than 1,000. I'm a 22 year old male, and let's just say that I have over 100 pounds to lose. I feel fine and my energy levels are higher than ever.
No human is the same physically or mentally, thus these cut and paste diet/exercise plans should only be used as a jumping off point for beginners. Each individual needs to listen to their body and adjust their lifestyle accordingly.0 -
I eat about 900 calories sometimes less and I'm full, I guess its about how little your stomach is and how much it can take in, I try to eat more but I can't I get too full and then I end up over eating.
There is such thing as eating less than 1000 and not being hungry and no it isn't anorexia.0
