Any and all help would be greatly appreciated, I'm just starting out and I'm trying to gain mass and gain muscle. I'm really active and have problems gaining. I'm about to start working out regularly and lifting weights and I was wondering about something that I read as far as calories are concerned of what I should be eating to gain....what I have herd is use 1,2,3 ratio. Total body weight. My body weight is 125, eat 125 grams of fat, 250 grams of protein and 375 grams of carbs = 3625 calories. Adjust Increase fat, decrease carbs if problems gaining but no less then 3625 calories. Add more cal for what you burn. no sugars, sugar burns fat. Is this a good ratio? What other tips. And thank you in advance.

Ignore that ratio and the sugar thing....quickly.
To gain mass figure out your TDEE, and eat enough above it to support the muscle growth your workouts are capable of promoting.4 -
So much difference in TDEE calculators but... The average TDEE is about 2900 to 3000 daily to maintain.

What do you do all day if you need 3000 calories to maintain 125 pounds? Just curious. Do you run half a marathon daily?0

No, my job. Plus I'm very active at home. Just in steps I average around 30k steps a day in 8 hours at my job alone. Going up stairs, carrying suff upstairs, quick walking constantly for 20 min at a time many many times threw out the day. Lifting, throwing, all kinds of stuff. Been to the dr. It's just me.0

A good on-line tdee calculator might help you. I like this one:
https://tdeecalculator.net
Just plug in your details (age, gender, height, weight) and away you go. Just keep in mind that this is simply a starting point. It is a formula so that means that it is NOT NOT NOT specific to you. So, start there and play with that to see what your numbers really are.
As an aside, I use the above and - after playing with nutrition for the last three months - this thing is pretty close to what I really am. So, it might be a really close starting point....of it might just be a starting point.0
