10-15 Pounds

I am 32, F, 5'4", and I would like to lose 10-15 pounds. I have gained by simply overeating and exercising less. For years I have maintained my weight by eating what my Fitbit Charge 2 HR says I burn. This summer I stopped caring and I am 12 pounds heavier than what I was at running my last 10K on July 4th. I want to feel better, and I want to look better. I know what to do- and plan on doing it.

I would guess that a chunk of the 12 lbs is from water retention and not actual fat (although it's possible you've overeaten that much but I think not likely). In any case, set a goal of .5 lbs/wk and take it easy. You could either cut the calories or up your physical activity to create a small deficit. Good luck and keep us posted on how you're doing.0
