Just wanting to encourage everyone not to give up . Sometimes things don't happen as fast as we want , but in some cases it takes a little longer. Keep pushing forward and know each step counts

I agree with John. I've personally needed to learn from a saying that I've previously seen on MFP " time passes anyway" and I'm just glad to still be moving in the right direction. It's not about "all" or "nothing", but as John said "Every step counts".11

Thank you for this post. I needed someone to say that to me today. Fell off the wagon two days in a row. Went over my caloric intake, loaded myself with carbs and ate extra 600 cals this week. Today, however, I fought really hard with myself and didn't let myself over indulge. It put me in a grumpy mood, feeling low but I need to do this!
It feels alright now after about 45 minutes. Mood is improving and not feeling like a 2 year old whose ice cream cone fell after two bites lol.12

This is a good post to remember...I am notorious for getting super impatient! I was actually just thinking this morning how frustrating it was that results weren't coming sooner. 2 2

That's so true that time goes on regardless. I can be somewhere between 40-60 pounds lighter next year or I can stay the same (or gain ! Blech!). Keep on keeping on and the changes build up.3

What I always mention to people is and using myself as an example, it took 25 years of poor eating and no exercising to put on the weight. I cannot expect it to just melt off over night.
If you dont mind me asking age/height? I am 51yo 5'10" and currently 215lbs with a goal of 180lbs. I am not putting a date on when. I started going back to the gym Oct 1st and have been going quite regularly. I really like the way I am feeling better already.
What gym do you go to? looks empty ;-)0
