If you have a lot to lose it’s going to take time for you/others to notice. Good job on losing!2

It's taken 18 kilos (about 36 pounds) for me to really start noticing, even though I'm wearing a size down.2

Body image is often tied up to feelings, and feelings aren't always totally reliable. That's why we use scales when we check if we have lost weight.
How old are you? Young people are often more vulnerable to body image issues, comparing themselves to others etc.7 -
Take measurements -- waist, hips, thighs, calves - that can be more accurate than the scale in showing that you are losing weight. The scale will go up and down depending on how much water you are retaining in ways that don't reflect your actual loss. Over the long term, a scale is good, but in the short term it can be deceptive. If you don't have much weight to lose, even measurements won't show much, unless you are also exercising. Then it will show how your shape is changing whether or not the scale moves.1

Usually it takes a bit more to show. I remember i noticed when I lost about 6-8 pounds. So no worries, if you continue for a bit more you will notice. But I agree measurements help a lot when you don't see much loss on the scale.0

I’ve lost 26 pounds so far, and I still can’t really tell. I have moments where I think I look smaller, but other times I think I look the same. 3 pounds isn’t much of a weight loss yet.1

Everyone feels this way in the beginning. You'll start to notice how different you look when you get used to the change happening to your body2

You honestly are not likely to see 3 Ibs lost unless you are thin to begin with. It is a small amount if you consider that it will have come from so many different places. I notice 3 Ibs lost because I am already very lean, but for anyone who has weight to lose, it takes probably at least 7 Ibs to truly start seeing a difference. Just keep on keeping on and follow the advice others here have given. If the scale says 3 Ibs lost, then you have lost weight, you just need to be patient when it comes to actually seeing a physical difference.0

I've lost 30 and am seeing some change in how clothes fit, etc. but a real change is that it's easier to clip my toenails without getting out of breath. It's not unusual to put on and lose three pounds of water weight based on exercise, sodium consumption, hormones, etc. Three pounds is not particularly noticeable on anyone except a baby.0

I don't think I noticed my weight loss until the first 25lb came off. That was about the same time that others noticed as well. You see yourself everyday, so it's doubtful your eyes will pick it out that easily. I took pictures when I started and then in the same clothing every month. When holding the pictures up beside each other, the changes are more obvious.
Have patience. It will come with time.0 -
Remember that continued weight loss is cumulative. Keep going and the results get increasingly obvious.1

The only way 3 Lbs would really be noticeable is if you were already very lean. Small changes in weight aren't really that noticeable if you have a good amount of weight to lose. As you continue to lose weight, it becomes more noticeable.
Also keep in mind that many, if not most people will lose fat from their limbs and whatnot first...those problem areas don't really start getting addressed until down the road. The first things I noticed were rings fitting loser and stuff like that.2 -
From what I ve experienced... it’s like our mind is stuck. It’s like how sometimes you wake up go wash look your face in the mirror and thing omg I’m looking good OR other times wow I look like *kitten* I shouldn’t even be allowed to be seen in public ? .. I feel it’s all about your mindset and if you are feeling sad/depressed or happy/excited. Some years ago I lost 15 kg which was huge for me I went from fat to normal and when I looked myself in the mirror I was seeing the same thing .. I felt fat .. even tho I saw the difference in my cloths and all. Also when I was fat I think my brain was in denial ... I never saw in mirror how fat I was... brain does play games on us ! Focus on your feelings and working on them .1

one day at a time, it all takes patience and will power, keep going!0
