How to get over this tailbone pain quickly, possibly caused from back extensions?

I think the cause of my tailbone pain is from back extensions. It hurts to sit, stand up, lay down, etc. Started hurting next day. I know the form got sloppy, I'll admit that. But was wondering if anyone knows what type of injury this could be or if you had this.
I heard back extensions might help, does that sound right to anyone? I would be willing to try if it is true. With perfect form and taking it slow of course, but rest sounds more right at the moment.

If it's a sharp pain, I would probably go get an x-ray. I've bruised my tailbone (dull pain) doing situps and the only thing I found to do was not do situps until it healed...and then use a super padded mat.2

Ice the area for some relief but You should go and see your doc or physio. There’s nothing worse than tailbone pain! I had it for over a year and it makes you miserable. Hope you get sorted soon.0
