Body measurements??

Hi everyone!
I wanted to start body measurements but I don't own a measuring tape. Are there any other ways to do this? I was thinking of getting string or yarn, wrapping it around a body part, then using a ruler or something to measure. Your help is very much appreciated. Thank you

That sounds complicated, and prone to more inaccuracy than it's worth. I agree with callsit, they are so cheap.. go out and get one2
