Hello, my name is Tori. I am a single mother of a 9 month old beautiful little girl. I just started the keto diet on Monday this week and am looking for some friends who may be doing the same diet and looking to lose around 60 lbs as well. Feel free to message me or add me!

I want to, but I don’t really understand the keto diet. My elementary knowledge is low carb, higher fat. But how low of carb? How much protein? How much fat? Can anyone give me a basic explanation or a link to a good website? I have looked on the web. Thanks0

Hey everyone. So happy to see so many others getting started on keto. I'm 3 weeks in and finally feeling some benefit. The first week or two is rough. Keto flu is real! Needed to keep it simple at first so bulletproof coffee for breakfast, a high fat smoothie for lunch (like raspberry cheesecake smoothie yum), and a salad with avocado and caveman chili or something equally hearty for dinner. My macros are fat 70%, protein 25% and carbs 5%. Adjusting MFP to be keto friendly was a must!1

I have been on keto 7 weeks (i'm in my 7th week) I have lost about 25lbs. I work out 3-5x a week. I tend to stay 20g of carbs or less. I was lucky and never got the "keto flu." Thank gawd.0

Hello and welcome. I suggest you check out the main low carber daily forum group here in MFP. It's one of several groups where most of us Ketophiles tend to hang out:

A good place to start with your macros is typically 70% fat, 20% protein, 10% carbs. These %'s can be adjusted up or down depending on what you find works best for you (i.e. there is no one size fits all correct macro % breakdown).0 -
My daughter is doing very well on Keto. I’ve decided to do Wheat Belly, which is similar. I’m still trying to adjust though with withdrawal, the hardest part.0
