I don't know whether I am getting lazy or just plain tired of dieting and exercising...but I am ready to call it quits. I have managed to loose 80 pounds in the last year and a half. I still have 20-30 pounds I would like to lose. My daughter and some of my close friends say I am nuts...that I look good and any more weight lost & I would look anorexic, but I am still not satisfied with where I am at. I have a lot of toning that I want done. I have managed to basically maintain the last few months - I might go up 5 pounds, but than I just watch the food/exercise and can manage to get that back off. Anyone else ever get to that point - where you get so close and no matter how hard you try nothing moves so you wanna just quit  ?

Wow, 80 pounds! That's awesome! That's my first goal loss right there. Congratulations!

I guess you got this far by not thinking of it as a diet and more of a lifestyle change? I know everyone always says that, but it's true.

Instead of worrying about your weight, why don't you concentrate on the toning you mentioned you wanted to do. That way, you're not focusing your energy on your weight, but on the way your limbs/body looks, you know? As you're doing that, you'll be noticing physical changes and probably losing weight at the same time. Just approach it from a different way. A year and a half is a long time to be in a habit, and I can see why you'd hit a wall. I just think that if you concentrate on another element of your objective it might help.

    Anyway, congratulations. 80 pounds, wow!

Congratulations! You've really done an awesome job! I really agree with everything Rosalind said~ just hang in there and focus on toning. Keep your goals in mind- you're not over the finish line yet!
