Trying to figure out my macros for this. Lots of conflicting info out there. Can't decide between HFLC @ 30/30/40 or HPLF @ 40/40/20. Does it really make any difference as long as I'm consistent?

What does "flexible" mean to you? No, to lose weight, you just have to stick to a calorie deficit.

As @kommodevaran wrote, calorie deficits are what cause weight loss, not your macro setup.

To add to the comments above, you will want to ask your doctor or experiment with your macros to find what works best for you. Listen to your body and do your research on how different macronutrients can affect you, both mentally and physically, and if you do something that makes you feel tired or generally gross, OR if something seems to be working but you find it too difficult to stick to, readjust until you find something you can do consistently for a long time, that makes you and your body feel good. The most important thing is CICO, and patience.
