Need advice about some DVDs....

I just bought 2 new workout DVDs -- 30 Day Shred and Biggest Loser Power Sculpt. I already had 3 Turbo Jams, the whole Zumba set and INSANITY (which will be saved for a later time because I couldn't even get halfway through the second workout). BL is a 6 week program and obviously 30DS is 30 days... should I complete one program first, then the other, or do both together and stick Turbo Jam/Zumba in there on random days? I want to do cardio and strength training because that is what seems to be working. I think I may have overwhelmed myself by buying too many DVDs.

I do the 30DS and add other things in too, I vary the other DVDs though so I don't get bored (biggest loser, zumba, hip hop abs etc) it depends on how much you want to do or can do in a day i guess!0

You sound like me! I have a ton of DVD's and basically I plan on just rotating to keep my interest up. I have the 30 Day Shred also -- I love it especially because it's only 20 min! My suggestion would be to start out with something you are comfortable with and stick with it, then move on to more advanced. I just asked a question earlier about rest days -- I'm trying to do at least 5 days of 60 min of cardio. So one of the 2 remaining days I will do a lighter workout (like yoga or some strength training) and take Sunday off completely. The 30 day Shred is a hard one to guess though, because I way I understood it, the program is supposed to be 30 straight days... I've never been able to do that. I just do what I can & feel good once it's done!
This is a rambling answer full of a hot mess of thoughts! Sorry if it's confusing! :P0 -
I would definitely rotate the DVDs so you don't get bored :happy:0

I supplement my exercises with DVDs because I regularly workout in a gym 3-4 days a week. Lately I have been doing water aerobics 3 days a week but that will end in Sept and then we will be back to Zumba and other cardio classes at the gym I go to. I also do weight training in addition to cardio.
I recently bought the 30 Day Shred, Biggest Loser: Cardio Max and Biggest Loser-The Workout: Last Chance Workout. Waiting for them to be delivered in the mail.
I have a stationary bike at home that I also use on the weekends when the gym I go to is closed.0 -
Personally I do a mix of dvds....Jillian's Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism, No More Trouble Zones, 30DS, Ripped in 30 as well as some ChaLEAN Xtreme and Insanity. I usually do a few until I get bored with them then switch to a few others. I was doing Insanity and ChaLEAN Xtreme and now I'm doing Ripped in 30 and CLX and wanna work Insanity back into it.0

You definately have the right idea. Keeping things fresh will deter your body from plateauing. You didn't get too much, just stay focused when you do them, and resist the urge to pig out afterwards. DRINK WATER!!!!! When you find yourself getting those insane urges to devour food at night, brush your teeth and drink a good amount of water.0
