I'm SO excited to go to three days of concerts this weekend, but I'm not sure how to avoid the foods that will be there. How can I stay healthy and stay on track until Monday rolls around and I'm back to my regular schedule??

I would personally stay away from anything they sell there! Just a bunch of greasy, processed, overpriced junk.

Perhaps have a healthy lunch, go to concert, drink water while there, have a healthy dinner when you leave?

    And don't drink too much.

Actually - there is quite a large range of food choices at Lollapalooza. Have you checked out the menu on the website?

I'm planning to get a gyro there but for the most part, I'm going to eat before I go so I can stay away from most of it.
  • Wow thanks, I didnt even realize they had a menu online. Ill definitely check it out!

They always have great local restaurants serving up the food and the menu lineup doesn't look too bad this year. There are lots of vegan and veggie options too. Check out the menus and plan ahead of time so you'll be prepared. I think with all the standing and walking and hooting and hollering and dancing, you'll be burning a few extra calories. Our weather looks decent this weekend too. Just stay hydrated!!

When I went last year I kept protein bars and peanut butter crackers in my bag to munch on. Although I wasn't avoiding the vendor food for health reasons, but because I'm a poor college student! Everything is pricy there. Make sure to drink lots of water too! You can bring in empty water bottles to fill up at drinking fountains and fill stations, but the lines get hella long.

If I was at Lollapalooza I wouldn't worry about the food. Instead, I would just drink my weight in alcohol. Have a good time.

Mushrooms have negligible calories and have more bang for your buck than beer. Plus you won't be in line for the Port-a-parties so much.
