Hello everyone, my name is Sherelle and I just wanted to give a quick description about myself. Well, I am most definitely not small. I am 20 years old and obese. I weigh 375, and HATE IT. I have pretty much always been pretty big my whole life. People would tell me nice things about my size which made me comfortable in my weight and made me eat more and more because people were making me feel like as long as I’m pretty and beautiful I don’t need to lose weight because I’m “perfect” the way I am. Those were lies, but I do appreciate the kind compliments. I have gotten so comfortable with my body that I started getting comfortable with the thought of, “if I’m going to die, I might as well die happy and full” .. I have 2 boys now and I do not want that for myself. It’s hard to do it because every time I started I ended up quitting because I didn’t have the motivation. So today I started my new journey to a healthy lifestyle. It’s going to be some getting used to but I think I can make it. Hopefully I can gather up some people who can inspire me and talk to me about weight loss and healthy eating because I do not know where to start.

baby steps are good. for me, I was curious about and started with the keto diet about a year and a half ago and lost about 35 lbs that way. whichever way of eating you choose and makes you feel best-- simply just starting to eat that way for a couple of weeks before counting calories or macros would be a good place to start. After becoming used to eating a different diet or way, then you might find it easier to begin paying attention to restricting calories according to your goals. And lastly, small goals are good to keep motivated. Rather than thinking, 'it's going to take me sooo long to lose (insert large number of lbs)!'-- try ' I can definitely lose two lbs this week '. Soon enough you'll be on a roll. You've got this.0

Think of the healthy happy life you will have versus the inevitable life of disease and illnesses. Also, as you progress with your weight loss you will have more energy and feel revitalized. I suffered a serious illness for several years and thankfully recovered. Believe me, you do not want to go down that road and excessive weight gain almost guarantees disease. Keep up the good work, you are doing great, you are in the right place for support and encouragement and you can do this. Go girl.0
