inconsistent eating habbits

I haven't been doing this long but I've found that I'll eat say 200-300 cals under goal one day and the next do 200-300 cals over. It's fairly consistent one and one days. Will this ruin weight loss goals with inconsistent eating patterns or will it sort of even itself out?

I believe that it will sort itself out. The proof, of course, comes with your weigh-ins. Are you on target to reach your goal. I have over and under days too. 200-300 calories is not much compared to total intake.

Why not look at the week average? As long as you are within goal for the week your fine.

You're fine as long as your keeping an overall deficit and are actually having some over/some under days.

A lot of people track weekly rather than daily. Sounds like this would suit you. Your body doesn't really keep track of nice little 24 hour periods.

That is not inconsistent, and if you're in a calorie deficit on average every week, you will lose weight.

No, that's totally fine. I mostly focus on the week as a whole, personally.

Hobbits eat pretty consistently. Six times a day if they can swing it.

No, it's total calories over time that matters. Your body does not reset at the end of each day.
