When you think you gained weight and everyone tells you "what are you talking about? You look great" anybody have this paranoid thought and keep pushing for more healthy results.....idk....maybe we set the bar to high for ourselfs? Is that good or bad?

I don't think most people really notice ( or care ) if anyone besides themselves gains or loses weight.
It seems like 20 pounds (either gained or lost ) is where people begin to notice any changes.1 -

Also many people've their own view, of what weight's suppose to; look like! I remember when I was 22 years old, at the doctor I found that I was only 1 pound away; via being obese & my 1st thought was: "But I don't have, a double chin!"1 -
I don't like when people notice and mention or point out that I've lost weight. It kind of makes me wonder how fat I looked to others before, if there's such a difference that they can tell that easily. *If* I notice that other people have fluctuated (I have a hard time recognizing either way - I like to think it's because I'm more interested in mind/personality), I don't say anything because I assume they feel the same way. If someone starts talking about weight loss or working out first, then I'll say something.1
