I just joined about a week ago and I can already see big benefits. I have been excercising for about 4 months without seeing any results. I naively thought as long as I was burning a lot of calories I could eat whatever I want. Well that was wrong, my weight just stayed the same. So a friend suggested I keep a food diary, I had never done it before. I found myfitnesspal and it has been awesome. I had no idea how much calories I was consuming. It really makes you acccountable for what you put in your mouth. Since signing up last week I have already shed 5 pounds. Glad to be here and hope to get to know you all.

    good job! keeping track REALLY helps...not only food but exercise too. I love MFP and use it every day!

    I agree... keeping a journal really helps. I never realized how much I was consuming either... yikes! Good luck to you!

    Great job! I know what you mean by working out and thinking you will see weight loss! I have done that in the past! It's been so helpful to log everything! Good luck, you will do great!

    I have been working out for five years with no weight loss. This is only my 4th day. I am excited to see some change now that I will be watching my calories! Good Luck to you!

    Welcome and good luck on your journey. I love this site! The food and exercise diary is so helpful. I bring my phone to my trainer once a week so she can check my nutrition. The friends and constant positive support are amazing. You will do well with all of the support and tools that MFP provides.

    Welcome! I, too, thought that all I had to do was exercise. I started walking in January and burned some pounds but then began to put them back on in June/July of this year and knew I had to do something and someone told me about MFP. I have never counted calories but now love it (only been doing it for 3.5 weeks)!
