Everyone is different on this one. I find that, if I've given it up for a while, I don't think about it very much. I have never lost weight while drinking beer every night!

BTW: It does not help much to switch to "clear alcohol," as some suggest. A large fraction of the calories in beer is the alcohol. Craft beers have been getting higher in alcohol and thus calories lately.

It's your journey and your body. I wish you luck with it!

Oh gosh, same here. Except my fondness began last spring. I love those carbs but I have to work off the damage they've done.

I totally understand. I love beer. I'm allowing myself one day a week to drink it. I've been able to lose weight doing this but have to stick to just one day and limit to 2-3 servings. It's worth it though. It makes you appreciate it more. You can do it!!

You can tell you're taking this seriously when you refer to each beer as a "serving". lol

I drank a lot of beer over the past year. I'm 30 lbs heavier partly because of it! I know rarely drink, but when I see my friends, that's all we do. I live downtown and all my friends are artists/musicians. It's not conducive to my healthy goals. Grrrrr. I sympathize.
