Hi everyone, I've been using the app for a while, but never posted before. I'm wondering if anyone else has trouble losing during their cycle. I either have no progress, or a gain of 1-2lbs. I'm on a doctor supervised VLCD program and go bi-monthly, I'm worried they will think I haven't been trying or sticking to the program. After a 15lb loss at my last appointment going back in with only a 3lb loss would make me feel horrible. I'm wondering if this is a normal thing for others, or if there's something more I can do to see more loss by my next appointment this coming Wednesday. I don't want them to be disappointed with me. I'm excited to be a more active part of the MFP community.

It's normal. Many women gain 2-5 pounds of water in the days leading up to their period (and some even before ovulation). It goes away eventually.1

I'm up about 5 lbs from my time of the month.0
