There is a homemade ice cream store nearby. They make different flavors, including vanilla. I always figure if they don't have any flavors that sound good, I can always get vanilla. I haven't had vanilla yet, and I haven't had any I didn't love.
I got 2 scoops the first time, haven't made that mistake again. It is so rich I can't finish 1 scoop. Must have a billion calories, and worth each and every one.

Dairy Queen is overrated. I'd rather spend what I would on a Blizzard on a scoop or two of locally-owned, homemade, real ice cream.

Coffee ice cream topped with hot fudge. No whip...no nuts...no cherry on top.

This is something my mom and I both love. Yummy.

Halo top, my favorite color is white as in pious vanilla holy.

    How fitting for you

I’m on a path of honor.

My penance is losing 50 pounds.

Your penance should also be buying and then shipping me halo top so I can finally try some

You pay someone one compliment and then you can’t shake them lose after smh fml where is your honor

I bet you hide in the closet and eat Ben & Jerry's Karamel Sutra right out of the carton. With a fork.

That would be dumb as heck... wait a minute what are you implying about me?

Culver's vanilla frozen custard, no toppings, in a dish; strawberry sundae with vanilla soft serve at either Oberweis or DQ (the Peanut Buster shown above is good, too); for flavors, I like Oberweis butter pecan, butter brickle, pistachio, chocolate marshmallow, chocolate sundae made with brandy and cinnamon ice creams. Culver's is a Wisconsin based chain, Oberweis is a dairy out here in the western Chicago suburbs.

Best ice creams I've ever had are from my childhood summers in Rock Island IL: lemon custard with lemon candy bits at Peerless Dairy, honeydew melon ice cream at Larson's Confectionery. Both places are long gone.

As long as its Blue Bell the flavor doesn't matter. The only thing good to ever come out of Texas. LOL.

Whaaaaa?? Excuse you, Big Red came from Waco and it is an amazing soda. Pretty sure it's the state drink at this point. That or Dr. Pepper... which also originated in Texas. :D

On topic: How am I supposed to choose one? I really enjoy matcha ice cream (green tea), peppermint bark (only Blue Bell), Mountain Rocky Road (also Blue Bell), mint chocolate chip and cookie dough (although I'd rather just eat straight cookie dough if given a choice).

As far as cones? Definitely a waffle cone or none.. and no extra toppings, please.

Best ice cream is simple homemade vanilla custard.

There is a non-chain ice cream stand in a nearby town that I like to go to in summer. You can get a cone or your ice cream in a styrofoam cup. They have chocolate and vanilla and various toppings. I kind of like the cup for ice cream because I eat slow. Probably the chocolate vanilla twist is my choice. No extra toppings.
A hot fudge sundae is pretty good though.

My grocery used to sell a small gelato brand that had a Dutch chocolate flavor that was the most amazing thing I've ever eaten. It has since disappeared and I haven't been able to find it again.
