So... I am on of the many people stuck on numbers. I weigh myself every morning and get discouraged almost every day when I don't lose weight or fluctuate those infamous 2-3 lbs. How do you guys get passed this discouragement??? Thanks guys!!!

do you wear the same thing every time you weigh? Sometimes i accidentally weigh with clothes on that add like two pounds, and when i change into something lighter, those pounds will be gone.0

Don't weigh yourself everyday. I used to do it everyday and just got discouraged. Instead, try doing it once a week. Do it in the a.m. after using the toilet, and do it at the same time every week. Hope this helps!0

I have the same problem!!0

I weigh myself right before I get in the shower in the morning, so I guess you can say I wear the same thing every time!0

Weigh yourself once a week instead. 2-3 lb difference in a day would only be water weight anyway (in fact, chances are if you lose more than 2 lb in a week, at least some of it is going to be water, not fat). Weight can vary through the week.
Or, even if you do weigh in once a day, don't really count it. Only count the once a week. Same day, same time of day, same clothes, etc. I currently do mine first thing in the morning after using the restroom, but when I was going to the gym every day, it was after my workout, still in the gym clothes (because that's when my trainer was weighing me). Either works, because i was looking for the trend (downward) more than actual numbers.0 -
They say to weigh yourself once a week. When weighing to weigh yourself the same time every morning. What I have heard and read is 6:30a.m. is the best time to weigh yourself. With the same amount of clothing on each time. And after you go to the bathroom.
By weighing once a week, you don't get so obsessed with numbers. It can be very discouraging by weigh daily.
I hope this helps you. I was the same way.0 -
Weigh once a week, at the same time of day, preferably morning... after taking care of "business" in the bathroom.... don't drink or eat anything prior. You cannot get a good read if you weigh every day.0

throw the scale out, focus on inches and the way you look/feel.0

haha, oh, well in that case, i would only weigh in once a week! that way you dont get discouraged by small fluctuations. and you seem to be at a nice weight already, so that could also be why you arent seeing much of a change on the scale!0 -
I hold out and it can be hard sometimes. I weigh in every Friday, before the shower. If I did it everyday I would go nuts becasue some days I have exra waer or am backed up or whatever. Once a week for me.0
