You have to burn more calories than you eat to lose weight. Burning the same amount would have you maintaining your weight.
Also that's what you burn for the entire day, not just through exercise.2 -
how many calories do you typically burn just through daily life. ?0

It depends on a number of factors (age, height, weight, gender, what you do throughout the day). MFP has already given you a deficit based on that information.1 -

Use a calorie calculator like this one http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/0

Put your stats into my fitness pal.

Update Your Diet Profile to lose 1.5 pounds a week.0 -
Weigh loss all comes down to CICO (calories in, calories out)
You must burn more calories than you are consuming in order to lose any weight.
If you put your stats into your MFP it will tell you how many calories you should consume per day in order to lose ‘x’ amount of weight per week.
As for finding out how many calories you burn without doing any exercise you need to calculate your balsal metabolic rate (how many calories your body burns per day just to survive) you can calculate your BMR here http://www.myfitnesspal.com/tools/bmr-calculator
