I received a private message today on bodybuilding.com, it was my favorite site that I visited multiple times a day until mfp came in to the picture. Anyway, back in in Feb. I posted a success thread about my weight loss in the post your picture section of the forums, I knew there would be some criticism I am posting on a bodybuilding forum! Responce was amazingly positive and over the last year I have grown to love those "bro's" lol. Long story short I received this in my inbox and it made my day! I don't know how to post pics sorry! They are in my profile if you wanna peek.

Awesome Job, Want to talk to you
First of all, Congratulations! I myself after years and years and years of self attempts and every diet you could ever imagine was finally able to be blessed to be able to have surgery to have a tool that would help me to become a better me and help my workouts to not be in vein anymore. I didnt have the lapband. I had the Gastric Sleeve, I weighed alot more than you did to begin with and am still a big boy, but after losing a little over 200-lbs so far, it's been the best thing i could have ever done. Trust me I know all about the work that is involved and understand how people de-value what we have done. Tommorrow Aug 2, 2011 will be my One Year Surgiversary. Down 212-lbs and able to work out and give myself the advantage to make myself better to myself is a very very happy anniversary present to me! I'd really like to talk to you about some of your further developments besides weightloss, mainly timing issues. I noticed in your pics that you have been able to tone nicely. It's a toning with WLS patients that i have never seen. So as I begin to increase my intensity in the weightroom, I'd love to get some words of wisdom. Your legs look awesome dude, My legs are strong as an OX, but they dont look anything like what your showing here and so it makes me begin to question so many things even just about the workouts i'm doing. I always put muscle on really fast, and of course you know how it is when your at the stage that I'm at in weightloss, The scale is a huge motivator and it does consume me daily, and yea i know that they say you need to not let the scale do that. But when your a heavy guy like I am, that scale is important. My original goal was to get to 250lbs. My doctor and my surgeon want me to get to and maintain 200 lbs max. and no less than 180lbs minimum. So I am still yet a ways away from where this journey is taking me but I am going thru one day at a time....

    well done.
I'm glad others are supportive and find your hard work motivating.
  • WOW you look great. And what a great encouraging email that was to receive.

Did you need to get any kind of cosmetic surgery to remove excess skin that was left behind after loosing all that weight?
