Calories are what determines weight loss. Eat at a calorie deficit and you will lose weight.
Excercise can help a bit with this as it burns calories but excercise is more important for strenght and stamina.
My advice is to weigh and measure all your food. keep within the calorie allowance given to you by this site and excercise regularly. You should lose weight if you stick to this formula.
Hope this helps.2 -
Think of it like a bank account. If you put in more than you take out, it'll get bigger. If you take out more than you put in, it'll get smaller. It doesn't matter how you spend or how you save... the difference between the in and the out is what matters.
Same with your body. If you've got more calories coming in than going out, you'll gain weight. If you've got more going out than coming in, you'll lose. It doesn't matter what you're eating or how often, it's the amount coming in that matters. Same with cals out... it doesn't matter if you run, lift, or do professional wheelbarrow racing - cals out are cals out.
So make sure you're diet is in check, get some exercise if you want/need, then be consistent and be patient.
If you want more specific advice than that, you're really going to have to ask a more complete question.2 -
