I try to jog a mile every day.
Read several post that recommend taking one day break after exercise so the body can recover.

Running only one mile per day, I wouldn't worry about taking a day off in between. I think the "recovery" days are mainly meant for serious weight training. My trainer tells me that you shouldn't work the same body part two days in a row - with weight training. But you could do cardio every day.0

I wouldn't worry about it. I think it is how tired your body is, kind of a burn out thing.0

Jogging only a mile is pretty low intensity, so I wouldn’t worry about it. Now, if you were going for 5-10 miles a day or sprinting a mile, I would tell you to rest between days.0

I don’t think it matters based on the miles but based on how that exercise affects you. In the beginning I was unable to run a full mile without feeling completely exhausted and some serious soreness after. I took recovery days after that because it was obvious those muscles needed time to rest and repair. Which brings me to my last point. Recovery is for just that, rest and repair of muscles worked. Which means, you may not necessarily need to take the day off. Recovery may mean, working a different muscle group the following day. For example, run one day, then work chest the next etc. Then have one full day of total body recovery per week where your entire body rests and repairs. Just my personal thoughts.0

I thought so. Thank you.0
