hey! I have just started the 30 day shred, I'm pretty unfit so it wasn't that fun! I was thinking of spreading it over 60 days, doing it every second day, for a few reasons. I want to give my muscles a small time to repair, I also do other sports (Netball, walking, cycling) and I don't want to do too much exercise everyday as I don't want to eat all those exercise calories! Also because I'm not in any huge rush to get in perfect shape as I don't want to put too much pressure on myself.. Do u think that I will still get good results as if I did it for 30 consecutive days? I want to lose about 30 pounds!

Any thoughts would be much appreciated

  • I don't see why not considering all the other activities your doing :)
I'm currently doing ripped in 30 im thinking of reapeating the weeks twice like Do the week 1 twice etc...since I'm not very fit.
You should still see results if you continue with what your doing now ^-^

I've been doing 30ds, inconsistently over the last month, and I still feel much stronger than before I started. I try to go to the gym and run on the ellipticals on the days when I don't do the Shred, so that's working out well for me.
I've only lost 4.5 pounds in 6 weeks, but I'm feeling healthier and fitter than I was before, and that's all that matters. I'm not too worried about losing weight as quickly as possible, as long as it comes off eventually. I don't want to pressure myself into something and be disappointed, so I'm taking it slowly.

I think it's a great workout and it doesn't matter if you do it every day or every other day, you'll still see improvements.

How has this been working out for you now that it is over a month later? I just ordered the 30ds dvd and am wondering how much I will be able to take on. Your plan doesn't sound like a bad idea to me. I walk 2-3 miles up and downhill pretty regularly and use the elliptical machine here and there as well. I plan on continuing that with the 30ds dvd.
  • I'm doing 30DS, and I do it every other day. I run on the days in between. Jillian is a little intense for me to do it every day. After the first day I thought my body was rejecting me every time I moved.
