Meet Rodney.

He’s weighing in 235 pounds. His goal is to lose 35 pounds.

How?

Staying under 1,970 calories a day and taking 10,000 steps.

I'm in love with walking. I do a lot of long distance treks (in the city and on trails) and this combined with keto has helped me lose over 100 lbs (and also build some epic calves!) Invest in some good shoes - taking care of your feet is key. :)

I like to walk a bit myself. It's good for the body, the mind and the soul.

I lost the first 30 lbs by keeping under or at my calorie goal + walking 10K steps a day. Since then, I’ve lost another 10 lbs with running and lifting (but many many dress sizes despite not that much extra weight).
Congrats on your plan! Wish you well.

@alteredstates175. I totally agree that walking is good for the mind.

Gives a person time to think and sort some things out.

Walking is a fantastic exercise for mind and body, and has even more benefits when done outside. I'm an advocate for better neighborhood walkability and more off-street trails (as well as better on street cycling routes). And a big believer in actively following the advice that I give to others.
