I've actually been on MFP for a few months, but never introduced myself.
I'm 46.... overweight... and trying to become more healthy. I want to lose 80-100lbs total. I've lost 39lbs so far... since March. I have 2 small children (6 and 2), and I work full-time. Just looking for MFP FRIENDS who I can relate with and are in the same position as me. I've been doing pretty OK so far with weight loss, but... it gets harder and harder, and I find that I now need more support and encouragement. I figured it was about time I get some MFP FRIENDS!!!

Thank you for the friend add this morning. I think the very best thing you can do is go public with your weight loss. When I first started, I went public to my family and friends on Facebook and there was mornings, it was extemely hard for me to keep on going and someone would leave a comment that said, "Wow you're doing great"...that was enough to make me get up and go for one more day. I have a lot of friends over 40 who have lost alot and hit their goals. You can do it to! I have a group on FB at www.facebook.com/moveitandloseit where we all try to motivate and support eachother if you'd like to join us there too. I love MFP too. Its great for me to see all my numbers everyday. Best of luck to you!0

Congratulations on your weight loss! sounds like you are doing great, but I understand it's hard to keep going.
Just have to keep your eye on the ultimate goal of being healthy and feeling good.0 -
Hello! I just started MFP on Monday, and I'm on every day. I just sent you a friend request because I'm also over 40 with a toddler.0
