Apple watch

Why are my steps so different on my Apple Watch than what is translating to my fitness pal app? Anyone know how to fix this?
TIA!

There’s a conflict of information between the watch steps and the iPhone steps. It’s probably displaying the data from the phone and not the watch. Try turning off “steps”from Apple health under the MFP sources. Not sure if that will work or not.

    No. That didn’t work.

In Apple health, make sure your watch is above your phone in “data sources” under the “today” tab at the bottom. That should insure that it takes priority over your phone for step tracking.

    I hope that helps.

I’m having the same problem. How do I move my watch above my phone?

    From Apple Support:
Open the Health app and tap Health Data.
    Tap a category, like Activity.
Tap a data type, like Steps.
Tap Data Sources & Access and tap Edit.
Touch and hold next to a data source and move it up or down in the list.
