(S)He who eats the most and still loses wins. You can starve yourself and lose weight in any number of unhealthy ways or you can lose in a healthy sustainable manner. Depends if your goal is just to be skinny or to be healthy also.5

Says my calories a day are about 2,100 to lose 2 lbs per week , I average about 1600 - 1800 .

Why would you set up a system to help you determine and track your calorie intake, then try to game that system? It doesn't make sense.8

That's why I'm asking questions.
Even with high protein intake?0 -

I will definitely be hitting my goal from now on and be safe .
I was being to aggressive to lose weight fast BUT now that I know I've been sacrificing muscle , this train is turning around.8 -

Hmm, sounds like you're talking about aging more quickly...or something.
To the OP's original question, it's certainly tempting to believe that bigger is better when it comes to deficits. That works with a lot of things, but weight loss is most often not one of those things.
You haven't given us stats (height/weight/age), but if your profile picture is you, it doesn't appear at first glance that even a 2 pound per week goal is fitting for you. Your stats will help.
For some reference, I'm 5'11", 54, and my weight went from 240 to 195 in about 30 weeks, where it's mostly plateaued (on purpose) while I build strength and change shape. I lost about 30 of those 45 pounds in the first 15 weeks and that was probably a little too aggressive. During that time, I averaged a caloric intake of about 2200-2500 per day while doing that, following MFP recommendations and eating back at least 50% exercise calorie adjustments, sometimes 100%.
Don't under-eat. There is no rush in this. Getting a better shape and being able to perform things you couldn't when you were heavier is the real reward.3 -
