How much weight do you think I can lose in 4 and 1/2 months?

Wondering how much weight people reacon I can lose in four and a half months. That is, the healthy/lifestyle way? No quick fixes for this gal! An estimate of what weight I would be at around then would be good, and also would be good so that I can bust my butt working towards it (although I still bust my butt anyway)...

:)

If you really get dedicated to it, I would guess about 50 lbs in that time period.

that depends on how much you currently weigh...larger people tend to lose weight quicker at first but if you're not that far from you're goal weight then it gets a little harder to shed the pounds.

generally 1-2 pounds a week is a healthy amount.

I started about 4.5 months ago and I've lost a little over 37 lbs. It all depends on the person because I've seen others lose way more and others who have lost less.

I'm approximately 90 kilos at the moment (goal weight is 55-60 in total)

If you lost 1.5 pounds per week, plan on about 30 pounds in that time. If you are a very large person, you could set your goal for 2 pounds per week, but the key to doing it the healthy way is slow and steady. :-)

As an afterthought, it is possible to lose more than 2 pounds per week, but the more you try to lose at once, the more risk you have of some of that weight being some of the weight you want (like muscle), among other risks.

Realistically - I say about 25lbs, but depending on your eating habits and exercise as much as 45lbs.

on a safe side, 20-25.. but if you are lighter i'd say 5-10. those last 10 are a doozy.
