Not been eating enough fruits and vegetables

I'm a 48 year old male who decided I'm tired of being tired. I work 12 hour rotating shifts that make it difficult to eat right. I really don't have a set meal schedule. It's actually hard to figure out when to eat. My job is pretty physically demanding so I'm not really in the mood to work out after a 12hr day! And when I have a day off I spend most of it sleeping. My health has deteriorated due to a poor diet and a lack of energy. And of course I am at the edge of obesity. I would guess I don't even eat a serving of fruits or vegetables in a week. How sad is that? It's time to make a change. I just thought I would pop in and say hi. And ask for support

hey
If your job is physically demanding then I guess a change of eating habits will be the answer you are looking for right now. What job do you do?

Hello. It sounds like you have taken the first step in realizing that you need to change your lifestyle to incorporate healthier foods. Good Luck on this journey - it may seem daunting at first but after awhile it becomes a new lifestyle. Feel free to add me as a friend if you would like.:flowerforyou:0

Diet is like 80% of weight loss, so yeah, diet has the most massive impact on your body. It is very much so worth it to change it to a healthy one. And, speaking as a guy whom thought eating healthy was supposed to be a hassle and expensive, i found out really quick that not only is it super easy to prepare, it also cost less. Go figure!0

Hi, Curtis! I had noticed my energy deteriorating as well and I have a friend that is 6 years older than me, is in great shape and has great skin. Her secret is that she juices vegetables and fruit. I've just started about two weeks ago but I already feel better. I get organic produce at Costco since I'm actually consuming it before it goes bad now. I started with 8 oz. of juice per day and now I'm hooked! It's delicious and for the first time in years, I've been waking up before my alarm clock goes off ready to face the day. After work, I now have energy to work out, clean the house and walk my dog when I used to be zapped. Good luck!!0
